MeitY budget FY26: Union Budget 2025: MeitY gets a 48% boost; PLI in electronics, IndiaAI Mission; cybersecurity main thrust areas

The ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) got a 48% boost in the FY26 Union Budget announced on Saturday at over Rs 26,000 crore.The majority of the increased allocation for MeitY reflected in the IndiaAI Mission, expanded production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes for both semiconductors and large-scale electronics manufacturing and IT hardware.
