The future of artificial intelligence (AI), including its regulation, impact on job markets, and even the possibility of posthumous conversations, was the focus of a discussion led by Sebastian Thrun, cofounder of Google X Lab, at the Global Investors’ Meet on Thursday.
Thrun, chief executive at StealthStartup and an adjunct professor at Stanford University, emphasised the importance of responsible AI regulation, cautioning against premature restrictions that could stifle innovation. “Regulation is necessary, but it must not hinder research,” he said….
