Meta adds more safety controls for teens on Instagram in India

Meta has introduced new safety measures for teenage users on Instagram in India, with plans to bring similar features to Facebook and Messenger later this year.
The announcement was made on April 11 at the company’s Teen Safety Forum, where Meta outlined steps to offer a more secure online experience for users under the age of 18. As part of the latest update, teens under 16 will no longer be able to go live or turn off filters that block unwanted or inappropriate images in direct messages unless approved by a parent.
