The National Payments Corporation of India has rolled out guidelines on 10 application programming interfaces to streamline UPI payments and curb outages

Earlier, the retail payment body had asked the PSP banks that the first ‘check transaction status’ API should only be initiated 90 seconds after the original transaction took place

The guideline comes a month after 2,387 users faced issues with payment service providers platforms to make instant digital payments
