India calls meeting with banks, fintechs to frame rules for online gaming law

The Centre has reportedly called a meeting at 4 pm on Friday with banks and fintech companies to chalk out the implementation roadmap of the new online gaming law, which bans all forms of real-money games.
According to a Moneycontrol report citing a government source, the secretaries of financial services and the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) will meet senior representatives from leading banks and payment firms to discuss the operational rollout of the Online Gaming Act, 2025.
