At least 14 people have been reported dead and dozens injured on Monday as violent protests against Nepal’s ban on social media sites intensified in Kathmandu, leading police to open fire and prompting the army’s deployment, according to The Kathmandu Post.

Thousands of youths, including school students, rallied under the banner of “Gen Z” and clashed with riot police outside the Parliament building in Kathmandu, the report added.
