After an outage at Amazon Web Services (AWS) knocked out many messaging and streaming platforms, billionaire Elon Musk mocked them for their over-reliance on the tech giant. In a series of posts on X, Musk wrote that it was “pretty weird that an AWS outage caused Signal to fail,” criticising the messaging platform’s use of centralised cloud infrastructure.
