Education ministry sets up AI centre of excellence for healthcare at IISc

The education ministry has set up four centres of excellence in artificial intelligence (AI-CoEs), each hosted by a premier academic institution, including one at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). These are per the centre’s vision of “Make AI in India and Make AI Work for India.”
As part of this initiative, the ministry has set up the Translational AI for Networked Universal Healthcare (TANUH) foundation at IISc to advance AI-driven healthcare innovation at scale, IISc said in a statement.
