Keen to bet more on Indian founders amid strong show: YC Partner

The appetite to fund Indian founders is higher than ever, with the country producing young people with elevated technical skills and are also AI natives, said Ankit Gupta, general partner, Y Combinator.

AI can result in ideas that would not have been possible even a few years earlier, said Gupta, who was recently elevated as general partner. He spoke to ET from YC’s landmark office near San Francisco’s Pier 70 to which it moved in 2023 after 17 years at Mountain View.
