Google hires, ex-Apple, Microsoft executive Sreenivasa Reddy as India public policy head

Google has appointed Sreenivasa Reddy, a former executive at Apple and Microsoft, as its public policy head in India. Reddy will be responsible for tackling legal challenges and expanding hardware assembly in the country. This appointment comes after the previous public policy head, Archana Gulati, resigned last year. Reddy joins Google at a time when the company is facing antitrust challenges in relation to Android and the Google Play Store.
