Google plans to rebrand the Android feature Nearby Share to Quick Share, according to a recent report. The change was spotted by a user named Kamila after updating GMS to version 23.50.13. The rebranding also includes updates to the user interface, such as changes in the share sheet and quick settings. It is unknown why Google is rebranding Nearby Share, and whether it is related to Samsung’s file sharing solution. Samsung and Google often collaborate to introduce new features in their devices and the Android ecosystem, but there is currently no official announcement regarding this rebranding.
