Fipola served legal notice on non-payment of dues

Vendors of Chennai-based meat retailer Fipola have filed a legal notice in Bengaluru for non-payment of dues. According to media reports, the startup is considering asset liquidation to pay off some of its debts.

Fipola sold fresh and processed meat, as well as meat products and seafood. It also ran Fipola Exclusive Cafe and Grill House by Fipola, both of which ceased operations via food delivery apps Swiggy and Zomato. Employees of the company have not been paid for nearly two months, and sources told YourStory that Fipola has not deposited its contribution to the Employee Provident Fund. Fipola claimed to have over 850 employees in a February 2022 interview.
