As Valentine’s Day approaches, love isn’t the only thing in the air — scams are too. According to new research from McAfee India, AI-driven romance scams, fraudulent dating apps, and deepfake deceptions are on the rise, making it increasingly difficult for individuals to distinguish genuine connections from digital cons.

The report reveals that 61% of Indians believe it’s possible to develop romantic feelings for an AI chatbot. Alarmingly, around 51% have encountered AI chatbots masquerading as real people on dating platforms or social media….
