Supreme Court to Hear PIL by KA Paul Seeking Ban on Illegal Betting and Online Gaming Apps in India

The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a nationwide ban on “illegal” betting and online real-money gaming apps in India. The court issued notices to the Union government and all states, stating that it would prioritise the matter.
