Three YouTube-based news channels that were spreading false information in India have been exposed by the fact-checking division of the Press Information Bureau (PIB).

The combined subscriber count for the three YouTube channels News Headlines, Sarkari Update, and Aaj Tak Live is around 33 Lakh, and their video content has been viewed more than 30 Cr times. The fact that PIB has discovered YouTube channels disseminating false information for the first time is significant. According to allegations, the apex court, the chief justice of India, government initiatives, electronic voting machines, and waivers for farm loans were all misrepresented on the aforementioned YouTube channels.
