Budget 2025 | India’s AI outlay has nearly trebled in one year

The Ministry of Finance has proposed an outlay of ₹2,000 crore for the IndiaAI Mission, the country’s flagship initiative aimed at positioning India as a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI).
In the Union Budget 2025, tabled in Parliament on Saturday, February 1, the IndiaAI Mission’s outlay increased from ₹551.75 crore in last year’s Budget to ₹2,000 crore — a jump of 262%.
