OpenAI’s push into education is a catalyst, not a threat: Coursera CEO

As OpenAI ramps up its education initiatives in India, Coursera CEO Greg Hart says he views the AI giant less as a rival and more as an accelerant for online learning.
“I don’t view OpenAI so much as competition as a huge tailwind for everything within AI,” Hart told CNBC-TV18 in an exclusive interview. “We see an incredible amount of interest in AI on Coursera. So far this year, we’re seeing an average of 13 enrolments per minute in Gen AI content.”
