Labour laws: IT union urges Karnataka govt to withdraw self-certification sops to IT/ITeS firms

The Karnataka State IT/ITeS Employees Union (KITU) on Thursday opposed the state government’s latest policy permitting IT/ITeS companies to file self-certification for compliance with labour laws and regulations and urged the government to withdraw it.
The Karnataka IT Policy (2025-2030) was released on Tuesday by chief minister Siddaramaiah at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025.
