NCLT issued notice to GoMechanic on an insolvency petition for nonpayment of dues

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) issued a notice to the beleaguered Sequoia-backed automobile after-sales service startup GoMechanic on Wednesday (February 15) regarding an insolvency petition filed against the company.

DigiRovers, a Gurugram-based company that provided digital marketing services to the startup, filed a petition with the tribunal last month, alleging that the startup failed to make payments totaling INR 1.25-1.5 crore. GoMechanic paid DigiRovers on time until July 2022, when it went into default for a few months. According to a source cited by the online news portal, the startup attributed it to an external audit and due diligence at the time. DigiRovers served GoMechanic with a notice in January and, after receiving no response, petitioned the NCLT. The hearing in the case is scheduled for March 27.
