Airline safety is under the spotlight following two separate incidents of fire inside passenger cabins in just two days, with lithium batteries identified as the common cause.

On October 19, an Indigo flight from Delhi to Dimapur had to return after a passenger’s electronic device caught fire inside a seat pocket. The crew acted quickly, following standard safety procedures, and the situation was brought under control within seconds.
