Ather Energy readies auto insurance foray with new subsidiary

Electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy announced plans to enter the auto insurance space by incorporating a wholly-owned subsidiary that will operate as a corporate agent, according to an exchange filing on Friday.

The new entity will offer auto insurance to Ather customers across India in partnership with multiple insurers, the company said. The move is aimed at streamlining insurance offerings, improving customer experience, and creating a recurring revenue stream by leveraging Ather’s user base, it added.
