AWS outage hits Snapchat, Perlexity AI, Canva, among others

An Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage has hit major platforms worldwide including Snapchat, Perplexity AI, Canva, Reddit, Roblox, and Fortnight, among others on Monday, October 20.
Aravind Srinivas, CEO of Perplexity AI, confirmed on social media platform X that its services were down due to AWS.
Perplexity is down right now. The root cause is an AWS issue. We’re working on resolving it.
