Blending of isobutanol with diesel will increase, says Nitin Gadkari

Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Thursday that blending of isobutanol with diesel will increase soon. “Yesterday, I had a meeting with agriculture equipment manufacturers, and we spoke on isobutanol as well, which is made from ethanol. Work has started on it,” he said during his address at The India Sugar & Bio-Energy Conference 2025, organised by the Indian Sugar & Bio-Energy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) in the capital.
