Delhi High Court protects Sudhir Chaudhary’s personality rights, orders removal of deepfakes

The Delhi High Court on Friday stepped in to protect the personality rights of journalist and Doordarshan anchor Sudhir Chaudhary, ordering the removal of AI-generated and deepfake content that used his name, voice, image or likeness without consent.

Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora held that Chaudhary’s name, voice, image and likeness will be protected.
