From idea to app in a jiffy: Internet’s new micro app craze

One weekend, tired of DMing 50 puzzle solvers and manually updating leaderboards for his Cryptickles Instagram page, 27-year-old Varun Francis spent just four hours building a micro app to run it all for him.

“With the app, I wanted to give users a better experience,” said Francis. “Before vibe coding took off, building an app was time and resource-intensive. Spending that much time building a hobby project just wasn’t worth the effort.”
