Google bets big on Vizag with $10B data center, 1.88 lakh jobs in pipeline

Andhra Pradesh has approved Google’s nearly $10 billion hyperscale data centre in Visakhapatnam, one of India’s largest digital infrastructure FDI projects to date.

The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, cleared the proposal on Wednesday, positioning Vizag as “AI City Vizag” — a global hub for AI, Cloud, and Data Analytics.
