Japan’s Astroscale to launch ISSA-J1 debris-monitoring satellite on ISRO rocket in 2027

Astroscale Japan, on Thursday, announced that it had signed a launch agreement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), to place its ISSA-J1 satellite into orbit.

The spacecraft will be launched on India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, located on the island of Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, in spring 2027.
