Microsoft expands cloud infrastructure across Asia to support digital and AI growth

Microsoft is intensifying its cloud infrastructure investments in Asia to meet growing demand for digital and AI services. In 2025, the company launched new Azure datacenter regions in Malaysia and Indonesia and plans to further expand with datacenter regions in India and Taiwan in 2026.

Microsoft also announced a second datacenter region in Malaysia, Southeast Asia 3, to be located in Johor Bahru.
