Nasscom planning local benchmarks for Indic AI models

India’s IT industry body Nasscom is planning to design its own benchmarks to test artificial intelligence (AI) models built for Indian languages, multiple people aware of the matter told ET.
Benchmarks are standard tests used worldwide to check how well AI models understand and respond to language.
