Ola Electric receives certification for rare-earth-free ferrite motor

Electric two-wheeler (e2w) maker Ola Electric has received government certification for a ferrite motor it has developed in-house that eliminates the use of rare-earth materials, reducing dependence on imported components in its supply chain.
The certification, granted by the Global Automotive Research Centre (GARC), Tamil Nadu, follows tests conducted per AIS 041 standards issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
