TCS to create 5,000 UK jobs in three years amid global layoffs

Indian IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said it will create 5,000 new jobs across the United Kingdom over the next three years, according to an exchange filing on Friday. The announcement comes as the company carries out massive layoffs to fire 2% of its global workforce, or 12,000 employees.

The largest Indian software exporter made the announcement with the launch of an artificial intelligence (AI) experience zone and design studio in London, the filing read.
