We’re actually getting a new Star Wars game set in the Old Republic, and it’s helmed by the original KotOR and Mass Effect director

I expected The Game Awards 2025 to surprise me at least a few times, but I certainly wasn’t expecting an announcement of this caliber. We’re getting a brand-new Star Wars game, and I couldn’t possibly be more excited for this.

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic has been officially announced, and it’s being directed by Casey Hudson — yes, that Casey Hudson, the person who also directed the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect games.
