16 billion passwords stolen in what may be the biggest data leak ever

Cybersecurity researchers discovered at least 30 separate datasets being shared online, with each containing tens of millions to over 3.5 billion records. These include login credentials collected from both old and recent data breaches. Together, they form a massive compilation that could be used to access a wide range of online accounts. The number of compromised records has crossed 16 billion.
