ChatGPT experiences global outage; users in India and abroad report disruptions

OpenAI’s ChatGPT suffered a widespread outage on June 10, 2025, affecting users across multiple regions, including India. According to data from Downdetector, a surge in user reports began around 2.45 pm IST and peaked shortly after 3 pm. More than 1,100 reports were logged during the spike, with 93% relating directly to ChatGPT.

A smaller number of users also reported issues with the OpenAI app (7%) and login errors (1%). Prior to this incident, the service had remained largely stable over the previous 24 hours.
