GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke to step down

Thomas Dohmke, chief executive of Microsoft-owned software development platform GitHub, will step down after nearly four years in the role, according to a report by US news website Axios on Monday.

Microsoft has not yet named a replacement and will not immediately fill the position.

Dohmke joined GitHub in 2018 as vice president for strategic programmes. In 2021, he became chief product officer, serving in that role for just four months before taking over as CEO in November that year.
