Igor Babuschkin, one of the founding members of Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI, has left the firm to start his own venture focused on AI safety.
Babuschkin announced his departure in a post on X, reflecting on his journey from particle physics research at CERN to co-founding xAI in 2023 alongside Musk. The pair, he said, shared a vision for building AI that would “advance humanity” while safeguarding against its potential risks.
