BYJU’S threatening students and parents by purchasing their phone numbers: NCPCR Chief

The National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has alleged that BYJU’S is purchasing databases, including phone numbers of children and their parents, to force them to buy courses.
According to NCPCR chairperson Priyank Kanoongo, the organisation will take action against BYJU’S and, if necessary, send the government a report. A few days ago, the NCPCR summoned Byju Raveendran, co-founder and CEO of BYJU, and now there are allegations. BYJU’S refuted the claims made by NCPCR, claiming that it already has more than 150 Minnesota-registered students and does not need to purchase student databases.
