Android users, Google wants you to download this security update right away

Google rolls out December security patch for Android devices, fixing 85 vulnerabilities, including a critical security flaw (CVE-2023-40088). The flaw allowed for remote code execution without user interaction. Google confirms the vulnerability has been fixed. The Pixel update, known as the Quarterly Platform Release or Pixel Feature Drop, is separate from the security patch and will bring new features, such as Video Boost for the Pixel 8 Pro, which enhances videos through computational photography.
