Budget 2025 | Seven-fold jump in budget allocation for quantum mission

The National Quantum Mission received a substantial bump in budgetary allocation at ₹600 crore in the Union Budget 2025, presented by Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, February 1. The India AI Mission has an outlay of ₹2,000 crore.

In last year’s full Budget, presented in July 2024, the government allocated ₹87 crore to the National Quantum Mission. The Budget estimate for the 2024-25 fiscal pegged the outlay at ₹427 crore. This year’s allocation is nearly 600% higher.
