Digital content company Chai Bisket raises $5 million to launch microdrama app Chai Shots

Digital content company Chai Bisket has raised $5 million in seed funding from Info Edge Ventures and General Catalyst to launch Chai Shots, a mobile-first OTT platform offering short-form fiction, or micro dramas.
The app, aimed at Gen Z and users in smaller cities, will feature two-minute fictional episodes, beginning with original Telugu content and expanding into other regional languages in the coming months.
