Drone startup Garuda Aerospace, backed by former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has raised Rs 100 crore in its series B funding round from early-stage investor Venture Catalysts, at a valuation of $250 million.

The newly raised funds will be utilised to enhance its drone manufacturing capabilities, scale up its production facility, and accelerate the completion of an R&D and testing centre focused on advanced defence drone design, the Chennai-based company said on Wednesday.
