Edtech startup Unacademy is laying off up to 350 people in yet another round of layoffs in order to cut costs and turn a profit

According to an internal memo from Gaurav Munjal, cofounder and CEO of the Unacademy group, the restructuring exercise will affect approximately 10% of Unacademy employees across the group. “I am deeply saddened to inform you that we will have to say farewell to some of our exceptionally talented Unacademy employees in order to reduce redundancies in our operations.” These would be from verticals across the Unacademy Group where we have to make a difficult decision to scale down or shut down,” Munjal wrote on Monday.
