US President Donald Trump has given a first glimpse into what a US cryptocurrency reserve could look like, saying the stockpile would include bitcoin and ethereum and a range of smaller tokens.

Trump in January signed an executive order for the creation of a digital asset working group to explore the possibility of a strategic bitcoin reserve. Trump had directed the group to turn in a report by July addressing criteria for such a stockpile, potentially derived from cryptocurrencies seized by the federal government.
