Government’s first comment on TRAI’s spectrum recommendations for SatComm players

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Tuesday that satellite telecommunications will complement terrestrial networks, such as those offered by Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and Jio, rather than compete with them. He expressed confidence that India’s satcom rollout will be the fastest in the world, with the market projected to touch $20 billion by 2028.
