When teams at Prophaze, a Thiruvananthapuram-based cybersecurity start-up, began seeing a small but unusual spike in threat activity doing the rounds on May 5, its personnel scrambled to stay on high-alert.

What they couldn’t have known then was that the company’s proprietary AI/ML cybersecurity product would keep discovering and blocking cyberthreats in real-time over the next four days, reportedly neutralising 85 million malicious threats in the process, and protecting three airports — the start-up claims this included an unnamed tier-1 airport…
