Jio, Airtel add over 9 lakh subscribers in July; Vodafone Idea, BSNL continue to lose users: TRAI

Telecom regulator TRAI’s July 2025 data shows Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel strengthened their positions in India’s mobile market, even as Vodafone Idea (Vi) and state-run BSNL continued to lose subscribers.
Reliance Jio led the gains by adding 4.82 lakh users, followed closely by Airtel with 4.64 lakh new customers. In contrast, Vodafone Idea lost 3.59 lakh subscribers, while BSNL shed 1 lakh during the month, according to TRAI’s monthly subscriber report released Friday.
