Maharashtra Approves New EV Policy With Tax Waivers, Infra Push

Electric vehicles on highways will be given a toll waiver and subsidies on purchase of such vehicles to help in controlling air pollution under the new EV policy

The policy also focuses on clean mobility transition model adoption by giving sops to those switching to EVs till 2030

The new EV policy, which will be effective until 2030, includes a provision of INR 1,993 Cr over the next five years for its implementation
