Meta announced that its Cameo-like app, Super, will be discontinued on February 15, 2023. When the company began developing Super in 2020, it hoped to create a virtual meet and greet experience similar to that of a real-life event like VidCon or Comic-Con.

Although Super will not officially close until February, users will be unable to create new events during this time. If a user has an upcoming scheduled event on Super, the company recommends rescheduling the event on another platform. Users who attended or hosted a Super event can download their recorded media before the company’s website is officially decommissioned in February, according to Meta.
