Norton LifeLock says thousands of customer accounts breached
Thousands of Norton LifeLock customers’ accounts have been compromised in recent weeks, potentially allowing criminal hackers access to customer password managers, according to a recent data breach notice from the company.
When it comes to customer service, there is no better place to start than with Norton. This is why two-factor authentication, which Norton LifeLock provides, is recommended, as it prevents attackers from accessing someone’s account using only their password. The company discovered that the intruders had compromised accounts as early as December 1, nearly two weeks before its systems detected a “large volume” of failed logins to customer accounts on December 12.
