The internet can’t get enough of Ghibli-style AI images—Celebrities and brands join the trend

Japan’s animation studio Ghibli has been around for 40 years, and while it has an established niche fanbase, most of the internet only discovered it after OpenAI released its advanced GPT-4o model for image generation.

Several users jumped on the train, sharing everything from personal photos to iconic memes and movie scenes transformed into dreamy Ghibli-style images that ChatGPT generated for them. The trend has made such a wave that celebrities and even companies could not stop themselves from being a part of it.
